Almost 12 years ago, I left @DRWTrading with @wesarn_real to start @digitalasset. @ShaulKfir joined us shortly after. The name felt right. The idea was simple but audacious: build a global settlement system that is asset agnostic. One that doesn’t eliminate banks, exchanges, and intermediaries, but tears down the barriers keeping people from accessing assets and settling at a fraction of today’s cost. A new financial world, built for the end consumer. We knew institutional adoption was the path. We just didn’t know how long it would take. We failed. We made bad decisions. There are things we would have done differently. But we never let go of our North Star, even when people around us were convinced we had no idea what we were doing. That focus, conviction, and most of all, patience, led us to launching @CantonNetwork. And the results speak for themselves. Today is a new chapter in that story. Twelve years ago, I could not have imagined building alongside partners of this caliber. $CC today processes the highest fees of any institutional blockchain network. And we’re just getting started. None of this happens without the builders, the ones who show up to weekly tokenomics meetings, dial into operations subcommittees, spend nights and weekends building apps on Canton, and show up on @X to cheer this ecosystem forward. Ben’s book The Hard Thing About Hard Things was one I kept coming back to during the hard stretches. Having his firm lead this round is meaningful in a way that’s hard to put into words. Thanks everyone for another beautiful day riding this new wave together. For each its moments, I'm deeply grateful to God to whom belongs all the glory. I'm excited to sit down outside with some beverage and smoke trying my best to recount every moment, laugh, hiccup, random phone call, and how went activities planned far in advance. I did what I said I would & found ways to fish back out every single FB lost at sea - drifting further into past while we remained in full lock down by X's auto software. Note of how trivial importance are these social relics when we know we are aligned in the spirit/unbreakable ranks. Do not ever stress about these things in our community - because if not today certainly tomorrow you'll receive each direct interaction so you know I'm here. I know you're there. You will know each other. I'm truly satisfied feeling good day's work to go begin to tone down with perfectly even following & follower counts. Furthermore, I'm humbled we have surpassed 1.5K. How far should we try to go? It's a movement of the mindset, feelings in the body and heart, but no scary mask face or other homogenizing uniform - we recognize the truth & the beauty of certain differences among us occupying a very specific space. They are real & infinitely beautiful as we each are created in the Image; yet at end of day, to extent the value of separate human lives fall into tension, always they immediately net out to true 0 because every human no matter what is exactly equal. Maybe they can limit the rates, slow us down a bit, make me limp, holding onto their precious murky superiorities dissolving rapidly to sand within their grips. But they never can take away even a drop of our collective determination to bring the world together - finally in true peace meaning one founded on mutual respect & coexistence. I want smart, experienced “adults” for this job, not somebody just buying favors for their next run. Read daddy L.R. French Jr’s obituary. Quite the man in his day. But unlike his brothers, Bo fell so far from the family tree the only thing like his old man is the hair. His life’s been one long party interrupted by business and personal failures plus two losing runs for office in his home district. Not surprising for an egotistical bully who brags about destroying people, men and women. I know some of them. They’re why I’m here. With enormous family wealth Bo’s never had to actually work or worry about anything. He makes up fluffy resumes, stomps his foot and calls anybody who criticizes him a liar. He couldn’t relate to real people if there was a gun to his head. Texans deserve better. Bo’s fanboy team tells me this election is already a done deal. Apparently he doesn’t need my vote or yours. The big question is can they keep those skeletons in the closet cause Bo French wants to be your governor. Making it easy for you to label and judge me, I’m a conservative leaning Independent raised by East Texas Democrats. I see life from both sides.
