Hi, Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan. Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago. (a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want. (b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions. (c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent. 【社论】分票会死人，合兵能翻盘。 BC省选这几天、温哥华市选这一个月，把同一条规律又演了一遍。 列治文现在最该看的，不是谁海报贴得多，而是谁还在互相拆台。 保守党：先裂开，再合回去，民调立刻跟上来 Findlay当了不到四个月，党团被拆得七零八落：议员出走、开除、另组CentreBC，反对党看起来像一盘散沙。伊比正是冲着这个窗口提前省选。 窗口几乎立刻关上。 Findlay一辞职，Doerkson接临时党魁，出走议员开始回流；选举宣布当天，CentreBC大部分议员又回到保守党旗下。 不是路线突然变香了，是“右边有没有一个能赢的篮子”这个问题，在选民脑子里重新有了答案。 Angus Reid随后给出的数字很直白：已决定加倾向投票者里，保守党43%、新民主党35%。十天前同一家民调还是新民主党领先4个点。反转的核心不是特朗普，而是对提前选举的反感，加上右翼不再公开互撕。选民忠诚度也说明问题：2024年保守党选民八成以上还在，新民主党只剩六成五。 合，不一定赢；不合，几乎必输。 这次民调回升，证明的是后半句。 温哥华：左翼先限候选人，再让出市长位，支持率跟着上去 温哥华走的是另一条整合路径，更早、更刻意。 今年春天，COPE、OneCity、绿党先谈妥：市议会、公园局、教育局限量出人，避免进步派自己把票切碎。夏天快截止时，COPE的Allen、OneCity的Azaroff退出市长战，把票让给绿党的Pete Fry。 Justason 8月31日至9月11日的民调，正好踩在这两人退选之后：已决定选民里，Fry 45%，现任市长沈观健（ABC）30%。同一份调查还显示，市议会前十名里，进步三党占了九席，ABC只剩Kirby-Yung一人挤进前十。 这和省保守党的整合不是同一套剧本，效果却同类： •省保守党是危机后的紧急缝合，先止住出血，再谈形象。 •温哥华左翼是选前设计好的减分票协议，先让出市长位，再把议会名单排开。 两边都证明一件事：在一轮投票、多候选人的制度里，组织纪律比口号值钱。 温哥华市长是单一选区，分票最致命，所以左翼先把市长位收成一个人；市议会是选十人，他们没有并成一个党，但限量出人，等于在名单上做了软整合。 沈观健那边，中间和右边并没有对等整合。TEAM、温哥华自由党、Vote Vancouver仍各自占一块。左翼一收口，现任市长的“渔翁空间”就窄了。 给列治文的启发：现在最像分裂后的温哥华，不像刚缝好的省保守党 列治文这次是Brodie不连任后的开放市长战。正式名单里市长有七人，市议员要选八席、报名五十多人。 六月那份Pallas民调里，未决定接近一半；当时领先的Heed也只有两成，而且那份民调委托方有立场、名单后来也变了，当趋势看可以，当终局看不行。 真正有用的对照是结构，不是某个候选人眼下多领先。 第一，市长位必须先问：同类票会不会自己打死自己。 
温哥华左翼明白，三个进步派市长一起上，等于给沈观健送连任。 列治文中间和建制派如果继续Heed、Loo、Howard、Kang各打各的，最后赢的往往不是“最像自己的那个人”，而是“对手分得更碎的那个人”。 省保守党能把支持率拉回来，第一步不是政策白皮书，是先减少公开出口。 第二，市议会八席是另一套算术，但不能假装没有阵营。
列治文有Conservative、RITE、RCA、Richmond Forward、Advance Richmond、We Are Richmond、Richmond Strong等多条名单。 温哥华进步三党没有合并成一党，但约定了名额上限，民调里他们的人就能挤满前排。 列治文如果每条名单都出满八人，等于把自己的支持者摊成薄片。整合不一定要改党名，可以是限量出人、交叉背书、明确“这八个里先保哪几个”。 第三，整合要赶在选民形成印象之前。 
省保守党是选举令落下前后48小时完成回流，民调才来得及转向。温哥华左翼是提名截止前完成市长让位，Justason才能测到Fry起跳。列治文提前投票10月3日就开始，正式投票10月17日。现在再拖，不是“再观察观察”，是把分票结构写进选票。 第四，合起来还要有一张能被记住的脸。 
Doerkson把人拉回来了，但四成选民还说对他不够了解；Fry能立刻吃到退选红利，因为他本来就是现任议员、名字已经在选票市场里。列治文谁想当那个“整合点”，不能只靠别人退出，得让未决定选民说得出他代表什么。否则合兵只是把分散的低认知，变成集中的低认知。 第五，假整合比不合更危险。 
CentreBC议员回流后，党本身否认正式合并；OneBC仍在右边另开一口。温哥华进步派也只是市长让位加限额，不是一个党。选民吃的是“这回大概不会再自己打自己”，不是“我们从此一家人”。列治文如果只在记者会宣布合作、名单上照样叠床架屋，反弹不会来。 省选和温哥华市选隔一周。列治文选民会先投市政、再投省选，注意力会被切成两半。谁还在自己阵营里养第二、第三个“正统代表”，谁就是在帮对面减门槛。 分票的代价，从来不是理想不够纯粹，而是把决定权交给最会排队的那一方。
