Apple runs its own AI models, its own silicon, its own map platform. And it still needs a guy in a red polo walking Malaysian sidewalks with a $50,000 LIDAR backpack strapped to his shoulders. Five states in Malaysia. Pedestrian-only zones where the Apple Maps cars can't drive. Areas around markets, courtyards, mosques where the roads stop but the sidewalks keep going. Somebody has to physically walk it. What's actually on the backpack. A 360 spherical camera on the top pole. A LIDAR unit for depth. GPS at the base. Combined cost of the rig runs around $50,000 in sensors. Contractors get hired through outsourced recruiting sites, not the Apple careers page. Apple doesn't want its logo on this part. This is the layer at the bottom of the AI stack that nobody writes threads about. Foundation models don't wake up knowing Kuala Lumpur's alleys. Somebody feeds them the alleys. That somebody is a guy in a red polo stacking bag as an Apple contractor while everyone else fights over the newest Claude release. There's a whole layer of AI-adjacent jobs that pay quietly while the discourse stays loud somewhere else. Pedestrian mapping. RLHF review. Data annotation. Voice recording for TTS training. And one more that most of AI-Twitter would refuse to admit even exists.

I didn’t get into the tech scene to help guys build another b2b saas startup. Let’s be real. When someone says tech, what do you think of? The invention of the wheel? The steam engine? Flight? Or do you think of soft blue gradients, sans-serif fonts promising incremental rev impact if yuo sign up for the latest b2b saas solution? Tech has gotten so synonymous with digital that we forget that the greatest, most impactful civilizational leaps have all happened in the real world. But now the pendulum is swinging back toward reality. And I, for one, am excited to be a part of it. The Truth About the Frontier I grew up in rural Wisconsin. Without the internet (despite being GenZ), my world was power tools, firewood, and campfires. When I started recruiting in 2020, I was fascinated by CleanTech. I thought we were reinventing the world. But "CleanTech" lost its way. It traded optimism for fear-mongering and word-police politics. It stopped being about the future and started being about how much you aren't allowed to do. That’s not the future I want to build. I'm rebranding because I’m looking for a different kind of builder. I’m looking for the frontiersmen. The kind of people who understand that technology should be a tool for stewardship. Not a source of shame. The frontier isn't another b2b saas calendar app. It’s the physical world. It’s that horse-riding, gun-slinging cowboy who respects the land that sustains him. He knows nature can be harsh, but he understands that if we use technology correctly, we can make this dusty rock better for the next generation. The Mission I may not be the scientist uncovering nature’s secrets, but I get to be the one who finds the crew that does. I’m using my firm to rally the wild adventurers. The builders who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the real world. If you’re a frontiersman in pursuit of technologies that actually matter, you and I are cut from the same cloth. Apple just sued OpenAI, and the wildest part is how they got caught: one candidate screenshotted confidential Apple files on his Apple work laptop hours before his OpenAI interview. Apple reads its own server logs. The recruiting pipeline generated its own evidence trail. The complaint says OpenAI's hardware chief Tang Tan, a 24-year Apple veteran, directed candidates still employed at Apple to bring "actual parts" (batteries, logic boards) to interviews for show and tell sessions. One candidate was surprised, saying he didn't even know you could take those out of the office. Apple also alleges Tan circulated an internal Apple offboarding document to coach new hires on dodging exit security checks, and that a departing engineer kept his Apple laptop, found a bug that still gave him access to Apple's cloud storage, and downloaded dozens of confidential hardware files after joining OpenAI. Then the supplier: OpenAI allegedly got one of Apple's manufacturing partners to demonstrate a proprietary metal finishing technique by letting the partner believe Apple had approved it. Over 400 former Apple employees now work at OpenAI. Apple says it flagged all of this to OpenAI in February and never got a response. Five months later, it filed. The ask reveals the strategy. Apple wants an injunction barring OpenAI from using the secrets, the return of every file, and full discovery into io, right as OpenAI preps its first device launch and an IPO. If a judge grants it, OpenAI may have to prove the device was built clean, component by component, before it ships. The device was supposed to run on the world's best hardware talent. Now its bill of materials is evidence.

I just interviewed a guy who did $100,000 in his first 100 days placing overseas talent with blue collar business owners. He started with $200. No tech background. No recruiting experience. His entire tech stack to launch the company was QuickBooks, Wi-Fi, a computer, and Lovable. That's it. What does he do? He runs a staffing agency that connects plumbers, electricians, and landscapers with full-time admins and marketers from Latin America. The talent costs the business owner around $1,200 to $1,600 a month full-time. He charges his clients $4,500 to $5,200 one time to make the placement. Then he offers a $200 a month membership for ongoing support. 75% of his clients pay for the membership. He closes most speeches with “Hamdullah.” He brags about his strong, proud Palestinian wife and admits he has been actively recruiting to make the force more “representative.” The goal is clear: 100% Islamic control so the city, state, and eventually the country live under Sharia. This is not diversity or community policing. This is the deliberate Islamization of American law enforcement. When the police chief himself pushes religious accommodations and demographic replacement while ending speeches in praise to Allah, you no longer have officers protecting the Constitution. You have Sharia enforcement in uniform.

The SPLC used $4.1 million in donor to fund the KKK and other extremist groups. This is how they used the money: -Attend and host extremist group rallies across the country. -Grow existing chapters of extremist groups. -Create new chapters of extremist groups; Recruit new individuals into extremist groups. -Make donations to extremist group leaders. -Purchase materials for cross burnings. -Purchase materials to make Ku Klux Klan robes and hoods. -Create racist paraphernalia that extremist groups sold at rallies. -Publish extremist literature used in the recruiting of more members. -Pay everyday living expenses, which allowed the Fs to focus on their extremist groups rather than seeking other employment. They funded the groups they told the public they were fighting.
