There are 217 @WNBA players in the league and now I’m speaking directly to all of you. I’m astonished. You play in a league and have a commissioner who cannot and will not define your gender and is embarrassing you in front of the entire world. Yet none of you have the BALLS to stand up for yourselves and say, “Enough is enough.” And that’s the whole point. None of you have balls, and it needs to stay that way. I guess biology is still pending committee approval. They’re trying to figure out how to define a woman in a way that fits their nonsense agenda. Deep down, I believe you don’t want a biological male entering your league and taking your minutes, your money, your endorsements, and your dignity. Are you all really that afraid of cancel culture that you would rather sacrifice your morals, values, and principles for money? If the #NBA# commissioner came out tomorrow and said, “We cannot define what a man is,” there would be outrage and a protest among the players the next day. Open your eyes. #WNBA# I’m not the enemy here. The real threat to women’s sports is not the one asking the question. It’s the silence of the women who refuse to answer it.

After experiencing Cybercab for the past few days in Austin, I think the biggest thing people are missing is the zero-sum game built into Uber. You have two people sharing one environment, with different preferences. The driver likes the temperature at 66. I want 72. If I get more comfortable, he gets less comfortable. He likes his music. I want mine. He wants the windows open. I want them closed. I take a few extra minutes getting to the car, and those are minutes another human spends waiting for me. There’s this constant little tug of war. My comfort and convenience can come at the expense of his. And I don’t blame the driver. It’s his working environment. He’s in that car all day. Of course he has preferences. That’s why I just let him play whatever music he wants. I don’t want my comfort to come at his expense. We’ve gotten so accustomed to this that we barely notice the tension anymore. Then you take a Cybercab. I set the temperature to 72. Nobody gets less comfortable. I play my Spotify at the volume I want. Nobody has to give up their music. I grab my Starbucks and take a couple of minutes to walk over, within the pickup window. Nobody is sitting there getting irritated with me. The car has no competing preferences. That is a profound change in the experience. I can optimize the ride around what makes me comfortable without asking another person to sacrifice what makes them comfortable. And you feel it. You get in, lean back, and relax. There’s no negotiation. No wondering whether your request is going to annoy someone. That whole layer of social tension disappears. I think this is a huge part of Cybercab’s value. Removing that zero-sum dynamic changes what the service feels like at its core. Once people experience that, I think a lot of them are going to have a very hard time going back to Uber.

I’m damn proud of Sophie Cunningham. Standing for the National Anthem with her hand over her heart shouldn’t take courage in America, but apparently it does. Seeing Sophie reportedly stand alone among her Fever teammates doing it was powerful. And yes, I was disappointed to see Caitlin Clark standing beside her without doing the same. That flag represents people who sacrificed everything so we could stand there freely. Sophie showed respect. I wish the rest of the team had joined her.

a reminder.. don’t be so quick to judge where someone is now, because you have no idea what they had to give up to get there. the sacrifices, the lonely seasons, the things they walked away from, the pain they sat in when nobody was watching.. you didn’t see any of that part. you just see the result. and i can almost guarantee most people wouldn’t want to endure what it actually took. everyone starts from somewhere, and just because you can’t physically see the pain doesn’t mean it never happened or that it’s not still happening today. so give people grace.. behind every person is a story we will never fully understand, and everyone deserves a little softness while they’re living theirs 🤗 #selfreflection# #comparison# #selfdevelopmentjourney# #lookwithin#
