The last two ESJ podcast eps have each now surpassed 1K downloads! Thank you, everyone! 🥹 I always love chatting about these kinds of moments with founders, so I'm going to make an effort to continue to do the same and start with the early days of building ESJ. 1. I just came back from TO and asked @tokifyi if I should just start what would become ESJ, which I promised myself to do a month before. Then I started asking ChatGPT to help me come up with a name and bought the domain immediately. 2. For one of my first interviews, I did not have a desk to take the call since I had just moved. So I used this fold-up table I got on FB Marketplace for my patio and a chair that my neighbour gave me when they were moving out. 3. I recorded my interview with @0xshawnpang from @allscaleio at @yaletownpodcast and then the intro, opening, etc. at home. I got a refurbished mic and used some boxes to adjust the height because I was short on time. Then I tested different tools and settings so that the quality sounded as close as possible to the studio. I'll share all the tools that I use to produce each ep in another post.
