"Did you have a good time? How good a speech was that?"
President Trump talked to reporters as he departed Pennsylvania following a rally-style speech at Mack Trucks focused on the economy.
Over roughly 90 minutes, Trump touted rising 401(k)s, lower gas prices and his plans to boost manufacturing jobs in Pennsylvania. He also declared victory in the conflict with Iran, praised the UFC event at the White House and took jabs at former Presidents Biden and Obama.
After wrapping up his remarks, Trump boarded Air Force One for the flight back to Joint Base Andrews.
Bo Nickal Reveals What He Told Trump Ringside at UFC 250 After His First Round Knockout Victory:
BO: "This really came full circle. I told him, 'Hey, when we met in 2019, I told you I was gonna fight, and look where I am now. I can't thank you enough for making this happen, and I'm so grateful for our relationship and your support.' This is an event that can never be replicated again, and it's just so special to have been a part of it."
Q "What did he say back to you?"
BO: "He said 'YOU'RE THE MAN, GOOD WORK'." Later, he called me and said I did a fantastic job and just talked about the event."
The Department of Homeland Security says Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, a Mexican national, was the alleged leader of a terror plot targeting UFC Freedom 250 at the White House. The FBI arrested Alvarez in Omaha on the day of the event, and ICE later lodged a detainer against him.
Administration officials say Alvarez orchestrated the failed attack and will be prosecuted before being deported. He came to the United States as a child and was granted DACA protection in 2014 after overstaying a B-2 visa that expired in 2001.
