Los veteranos recordarán el episodio 6, cuando Mio se tropieza en el escenario. En el manga original, la escena mostraba sus "pantsu" a rayas azules y blancas sin filtro.
Sin embargo, la directora del anime (la legendaria Naoko Yamada) decidió cambiarlo por un plano cerrado de un tazón de arroz humeante con el mismo patrón de rayas.
¿El motivo? Querían proteger a las personajes y evitar el fanservice innecesario, argumentando de forma poética que el arroz caliente en cerámica fina transmitía la misma "sensualidad" pero de forma artística y cómica.
