Grok Build just received another major update, introducing powerful conversation navigation, enhanced enterprise controls, smarter terminal workflows, and extensive reliability improvements Release Notes: v0.2.102 — 2026-07-16 Breaking Changes: • --minimal and --fullscreen flags now apply only to the current session. Features: • New /jump slash command lets you quickly jump to any previous turn in the conversation. • New /timeline sidebar shows a clickable tick rail for fast navigation between conversation turns. • grok login now requests Grok Projects scopes so workspace listing works after consent. • Permission mode can now be set fleet-wide via remote config when no local setting exists. • Edit tool output has a setting to show a compact one-line summary instead of always-expanded diffs. • Tab completion in !bash mode now works like a normal terminal (prefix fill, dropdown, directory drill-down). • Enterprise deployments can now disable voice dictation via requirements.toml so /voice and Ctrl+Space are hidden for everyone. • User prompts now appear bold only in --minimal mode; fullscreen keeps normal weight. • grok plugin install now accepts a marketplace's registered name as a qualifier. • Consecutive edits to the same file now collapse into a single scrollback row when collapsed edit blocks are enabled. • Local sessions now inherit your shell environment variables and keep the current directory across commands. Bug Fixes: • Login and re-login no longer stack multiple device-code polls or leave stale flows running. • Background task tools now render with correct icons and titles instead of the generic MCP wrench. • Task tool now correctly validates and displays allowed model slugs for subagents. • Rewind now correctly handles bash transcripts, permission follow-ups, and sessions that mix old and new prompt markers. • Re-login during a session now immediately uses the new token instead of requiring a new session. • Terminal commands using globs now behave the same on zsh as on bash and no longer fail with shell errors. • Installer no longer replaces stowed shell configuration symlinks with plain files on upgrade. • Voice transcription now works with enterprise API bases and API-key authentication. • Fixed crashes on some network-mounted home directories by using a safer SQLite journal mode. • Home and End keys now move to the ends of the current wrapped line in the prompt. • Arrow keys and Esc now work correctly inside viewers opened from the dashboard. • Warns at startup when user and project sandbox profiles define the same name differently. • Billing upgrade links now show the full URL in the transcript (and copy it) when a browser cannot be opened. • Fixed Ctrl+Y yank no longer working after sending a prompt. • No longer shows permission prompts seconds after a turn was cancelled with Esc or Ctrl+C. • Page Up and Page Down now move the highlighted entry to the top or bottom of the visible scrollback area. • Conflicting project and user sandbox profiles now show a clear warning on the welcome screen. • OAuth login URLs no longer contain duplicate referrer parameters. • File links in official VS Code Remote-SSH terminals now use VS Code's native path handling. • Minimal mode now shows the folder-trust prompt after sign-in when required. • Skills whose names collide with built-in slash commands are now reachable via qualified names. • Fixed background task tracking when using grok -p --no-wait-for-background so tasks are properly reaped on exit. • Rate limit errors (429) now show specific server messages (capacity, team limits, free-usage) instead of generic upgrade prompts, with correct copy based on auth type. • /copy slash command is now available in minimal mode. Performance: • Improved recap and compaction behavior.

Over the past two years, AI video models have been competing on realism, resolution, and duration. But no matter how impressive the results look, we remain passive viewers: we press play, watch the clip, and it ends.   AlayaWorld @alayastd is attempting something fundamentally different. Instead of generating a fixed video, it generates a world that continues to unfold as you move through it.   These three demos show the same journey toward a green village rendered in three distinct styles: photorealistic, oil painting, and line art. As the camera moves forward, the model continues generating the road, fences, trees, and distant village. This is not simply an existing video with different filters applied. The environment is generated continuously along the camera trajectory, allowing the scene to develop as the user explores it.   AlayaWorld streams video at 720p and 24 FPS while supporting camera movement and viewpoint control. The real breakthrough is not just image quality. Once generation becomes fast enough to respond within an interactive loop, the user is no longer merely watching a video. They become a participant inside the generated world.   The world can also respond to new instructions. During generation, users can introduce prompts that trigger spells, summon characters, create explosions, or transform the environment. Most video models follow an initial prompt and produce a predetermined clip. AlayaWorld can respond to changing intent while the world is still running, allowing subsequent events to evolve according to the user’s commands.   Generating an attractive frame is relatively easy. Maintaining a coherent world over time is much harder. As a video model repeatedly predicts the next frame, small errors can accumulate until roads, buildings, and objects begin to distort or disappear. AlayaWorld combines spatial memory with compressed historical context, helping the model remember both where things are and what has already happened. This enables stable generation lasting more than one minute while improving consistency when the camera leaves an area and later returns.   This may be the next step for AI video: not simply generating a longer movie, but generating a world that can be explored, changed, and interacted with.   AlayaWorld is developed by Alaya Lab. The team is progressively releasing its inference code, training code, and datasets, with an online experience expected to launch near the end of the month.   Project page:

This is one of the most important moments ever aired on CNBC. Billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya says the media lied to millions of Americans about President Trump, and that after going back to the original source material, he realized he had been completely misled about Trump’s character. PALIHAPITIYA: “The reality is that most of us were lied to by the media about President Trump.” “And if you just go back to the source material, you should take away two things.” “One, he didn’t say half the things he said, and two, why did these other people just fabricate what they wanted to say so that they could essentially assassinate his character?” “I think that that second thing is completely unacceptable in America, and there’s still been no repercussions, really.” “I took the time to learn about it. I admitted where…you know, the way that I met him was, I admitted on the pod, which, you know, has millions of viewers.” “And I said, I got it totally wrong because I went and I watched Charlottesville.” “And, you know, the first person to call me? President Trump.” “And I got to know him and I put the phone down, I called my wife, and I said, we got it TOTALLY, totally wrong. We were lied to.” “And then I got to know him and he is fantastic!” @chamath

Bro took the red pill and I am here for it. Meet Karl Stefanovic. Three decades on Australian TV, including nearly 20 years co-hosting Nine’s flagship breakfast show Today (as mainstream media as it gets). He started unplugging from The Matrix during the SCAMDEMIC. In 2023 he told viewers on air he was “done” with the vaccine after the push for a fifth booster. He later went further, openly admitting he “got it wrong” on the jab rollout and expressed regret for his own and the media’s role in the saga. He recently launched The Karl Stefanovic Show podcast as an independent project, made it clear he wouldn’t be renewing his TV contract with Nine (Today show) when it expires at the end of the year, and finally began speaking his mind. His guests so far have included “Orange Woman Bad” aka Pauline Hanson, the common sense leader of One Nation (political party) who for decades has been FALSELY attacked and smeared by the media, just like the US media machine did to Trump for his common sense policies and courage. Another guest on Karl’s new podcast was Pete Evans, to whom Karl publicly apologized for helping smear during the scamdemic. Then came the latest episode: a candid, hour-long chat with Tommy Robinson. It dropped overnight, was scrubbed from YouTube, Spotify, Apple and Instagram the next morning (not even 24 hours later) then Pauline Hanson (aka “Orange Woman Bad”) instantly re-uploaded the full thing on her channel under the title “CANCELLED.” Karl’s TV bosses at Nine allegedly called crisis meetings and reportedly reviewed (possibly ending) Karl’s future at the network. Yes, Karl had a conversation on his new podcast and the mainstream media machine got its panties in SUCH A TWIST that they held a crisis meeting and rumors are now swirling that he has been fired... ...for having a conversation. ...with a guest. ...on his podcast. Ironically, for a guy pivoting to full-time independent content creation, who is finally speaking his mind without fear, it’s the perfect outcome. Massive free publicity, instant proof he’s no longer playing by the old rules and has woken up, and a crystal-clear signal to his audience that he’s all-in on unfiltered conversations. Did Karl Stefanovic just get the ultimate send-off gift from the corrupt media machine as he begins life as an independent content creator? Karl’s unplugging from The Matrix is almost complete. Bro took the red pill and I am here for it. 🍿

How many people has Elon Musk personally murdered via his work helping defund USAID? I've run the numbers. USAID, as people outside of CNN's viewership already know, operates largely as a CIA cutout, placing assets on the ground in countries where the U.S. govt is intervening politically. USAID was instrumental is helping seed the following revolutions/coup d'états/civil wars: Serbia — Bulldozer Revolution (Oct. 2000) Venezuela — coup attempt + sustained OTI funding (April 2002) Georgia — Rose Revolution (Nov. 2003) Ukraine — Orange Revolution (2004) Haiti — Ouster of Aristide (Feb. 2004) Lebanon — Cedar Revolution (2005) Belarus — opposition funding, "Jeans Revolution" and after — attempted, failed (2006) Honduras — Coup against Zelaya (Jun. 2009) Cuba — ZunZuneo / "Cuban Twitter" — attempted, failed (2010–12) Tunisia — "Arab Spring" (2011) Egypt — "Arab Spring" (2011–12) Ukraine — Euromaidan / Revolution of Dignity (2014) Bolivia — anti-Morales funding; 2013 expulsion; 2019 ouster Kyrgyzstan — Tulip Revolution (March 2005) Without U.S. intervention, it's hard to see how any of these would have gotten off the ground. Some back-of-the-envelope math on these conflicts' bodycount: Venezuela (2002): 19 Haiti (2004): ~300 Maidan event (2014): ~100+ killed. Bolivia (2019): 36 Donbas war (2014–2022): 14,200–14,400 military & civilian deaths. Ukraine full-scale war (2022–present), deaths, both sides, mil + civ: roughly 350,000–500,000 killed. So far we're up to somewhere north of 365,000 deaths, more likely north of 500K. What else do we have? USAID also helped fund poppy (heroin) farmers in Afghanistan. Unfortunately I haven't seen estimates of how many have died as a result of this taxpayer funded drug dealing, but I'm assuming they're not small numbers. USAID also worked with groups sexually abusing/trafficking children in Kenya (2021), and the Central African Republic (2013). Much earlier, during Vietnam, USAID helped the CIA arm & feed Hmong guerrillas fighting communist forces (not the worst thing). USAID also helped the Hmong militia & other warlords smuggle opium (a far less forgivable thing). While the final tally is hard to properly calculate, if past is predicate, in helping shutdown USAID, @elonmusk could be saving hundreds of thousands of lives, thousands of African children, & millions of people around the world susceptible to opiate addiction. Get this man a Peace Prize, @NobelPrize
