A woman allegedly stole at least $4 billion, boarded a plane in 2017, and disappeared. Nearly a decade later, the FBI still hasn’t found her.
Ruja Ignatova, known as the “Cryptoqueen,” vanished in 2017 after allegedly defrauding investors of billions through her fraudulent cryptocurrency, OneCoin. After learning that her American boyfriend was cooperating with the FBI, she flew from Sofia, Bulgaria, to Athens, Greece, and disappeared without a trace. She remains the only woman on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.
