South Korean startup Holiday Robotics has raised a 155 billion won (about $103 million) Series A — the largest Series A funding round in South Korean startup history, and the biggest single round for a dedicated humanoid company. Founded in 2024 by Song Ki-young, who previously built and sold industrial AI-vision firm SUALAB, the company is developing FRIDAY, a wheel-based humanoid with high-degree-of-freedom arms, hands, and tactile sensors, designed to work alongside people on repetitive factory and logistics lines.
