I wanted to push Grok to its limits to create a longer-form video, beyond the current 30-second limits of Grok Imagine in a single generation. The idea was to bring the full SpaceX and Tesla ecosystem together in one short film: a massive Starship fleet launching from Earth to serve as boosters for a giant Cybertruck “space station” acting as the mothership to Mars. The Cybertruck then transforms into a large Optimus robot that joins other giant Optimus robots already on Mars and explores a futuristic colony featuring xAI, the Boring Company, Tesla Energy, Neuralink, and Starlink. This project took over four weeks and hundreds of attempts to get each segment and detail right and to flow from one part to the next as seamlessly as possible before stitching them into a coherent story. I am not a professional designer or filmmaker by any shape or form. In fact, quite the opposite. But it showed me that you don’t need to be a pro to create something meaningful with Grok.
