Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) says “there’s a lot of people who were worried” President Trump would shift longstanding U.S. policy toward Taiwan in an effort to make any sort of deal with China during the summit with China’s Xi Jinping in Taiwan.
“My hope is the president doesn’t give up on that. That would be a huge shift,” she says.
