correction: organic cotton / down for beddings and pillows are great for me I tried naturepedic organic mattress and they also give me inflammation (and they really drag their feet when you try to return) avocado mattresses and pillows are no good when I tried in store best i found is a non organic mattress (beautyrest from mattressfirm) but certain spots of the mattress is more inflammatory than others (maybe corresponding to spring locations and midseam)

7/ each time I do this I get some kind of systemic inflammation that in particular inflames the brain, which I perceive as lower energy, and can cause memory, learning, executive function impairments so now I'm much more careful

turns out I also have a bit of long covid the covid S1 spike protein was found in my monocytes (a kind of immune cells) along with cytokine signature similar to long covid patients gonna try maraviroc + statin # the theory monocytes are like garbage cans that ingest viral debris and break it down; but for some reason the S1 protein resists breakdown instead it keeps the monocyte alive for long periods of time (months to years even) and increases its inflammatory signaling in one mechanism, these monocytes attach to capillary endothelium -> release inflammatory cytokine -> microclots form in blood vessel -> local tissue hypoxia -> more inflammation -> attracting more monocytes -> repeat this dynamics could partly explain symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, pain, autonomic issues, etc # treatment maraviroc (an HIV drug) + statin (a cholesterol drug) blocks the receptors that guide monocytes and bind them to inflamed endothelium -- when the monocytes don't feel the inflammation any more, they kill themselves safely (apoptosis), taking the S1 spike protein with them so eventually the S1-containing monocytes all die off and inflammation and symptoms mitigated, as the theory goes

looks like at least part of my food sensitivity goes through the histamine pathways H1 (loratadine + fexofenadine) and H2 (pepcid) blockers both help lessen my reaction H1 blockers help with the inflammation I feel when I chew food H2 blockers help with inflammation in the gut after I swallow so I likely have a mild version of mast cell activation syndrome

AlphaProteo designed successful binders for 7️⃣ diverse proteins. These include two viral ones involved in infection and five involved in cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune disease. The system generated candidates with strong binding to these targets.

I recovered pretty quickly from the crash actually (i think the extreme anti-inflammatory property of the fast arrested the cytokine storm before it got out of hand), and my HRV last night doubled and was the best this year I broke the fast this morning starting with blueberries (spitting out the skin tho) then steamed halibut then a ribeye steak (omg it was so good) I got a bit sleepy after all the eating but feel OK now; much of the fasting benefits still remain but I feel calmer now instead of feeling like I have too much energy to know where to spend them

generally I find white fish (like sole, branzini, rock fish, etc) to be the safest, least inflammatory source of protein I also find the fattier the meat, typically more inflammatory it is white fish < ostrich < salmon < lean beef/lamb < fatty cuts of beef/lamb quality can matter here because I have had bad experiences from ranch 99's white fish
