Introducing Kitesurf: a browser built for agents, running entirely on Cloudflare Workers. Chromium is too heavy to hand every agent one. Kitesurf is written in Rust, uses 3-7x less CPU and memory, and spins up per request. Free in beta:

We tried using Meta's new Muse Code agent, but it has a bug that doesn't let it sign in from a docker container. So we did a fun experiment: Meta claims Muse Spark 1.2 was co-trained with their Muse agent harness. So we extracted instructions from their system prompt and added them to the Cline harness. TL;DR of this special prompting: - Trust source code over the user prompt, so read every call site and existing tests before starting the task - Weigh edge and error cases as heavily as the happy path - Always reproduce the bug before fixing - Don't trust the first passing test suite, and verify suspicious looking half-baked tests - Never stop at just editing, keep working until the change is verified complete. We then asked this modified harness to fix a real bug from our repo, and compared the results to the original Cline agent harness. Results: - Used 2.7x fewer tokens (19.7M → 7.2M) - Finished 2x faster (49min → 24min) - Cost 2.4x less ($7.69 → $3.25) Same Muse Spark 1.2 model, same task, only the prompting changed. Incredible how much of a performance gain Meta was able to achieve training it on these special instructions!

Trading hours are becoming less relevant in an always-on market. In July, 62% of bStocks volume—more than US$1.5B—was traded outside traditional market hours. The market never really closes anymore.

Today we are releasing Cloudflare OS, a chatbot with connectors, just like every other tech company is doing. Except actually, it's different. This is a remake of Sandstorm[.]io, my startup from 10 years ago, except this time built on Cloudflare Workers (the platform I've spent the last 9 years building) and deeply leveraging AI. This is more or less the culmination of my secret 10-year master plan. This is a full-on personal app vibe coding platform, in which the sandbox is so secure that you can pretty much go wild -- the AI cannot introduce a significant security bug. We believe a company's security team can feel comfortable giving non-technical users permission to vibe code and then sleep soundly at night. How is that possible? It's the Sandstorm security model, revisited. A "Gadget" is the same thing as a Sandstorm "Grain": a fine-grained app instance. For example, if you have a document editor app, each document runs as a separate instance of the app, in a separate sandbox (one "Gadget"). This means two things, both of which I think are Big Deals: 1. The platform can manage all access control, by controlling who can access the Gadget at all. There is no way the Gadget can accidentally leak itself to an attacker -- even an attacker who has access to other Gadgets based on the same app. 2. Since everyone is running their own copy of the code, everyone can freely *modify* their copy of the code. Think about #2# a bit more. What if, when you wanted a new feature in the software you are using, you could just prompt your agent to add it? This doesn't work in the cloud Software-as-a-Service model, because you are not running your own copy of the app. Sandstorm tried to change that 10 years ago, but the world wasn't ready, because not enough people had the skills or patience to actually modify their software. AI has changed that. Now you just ask the agent -- the same agent that you are using to help you interact with the Gadget can also modify the code of the Gadget. And it is so fun.

Imagine driving a single route that takes you along China's entire land border and coastline. That is exactly what a massive new 27,000-kilometer loop will make possible. According to the Ministry of Transport, China plans to build this super-highway during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030) by linking three major routes—the G219, G331, and G228—end to end. Tracing the country's borders and coastline, the journey will stretch more than half the length of the Earth's equator. Far more than a transportation corridor, the route weaves together hundreds of scenic areas and historic cities, offering a journey across some of China's most diverse landscapes. G219 runs about 10,000 km from the Kanas Scenic Area in northwest China’s Xinjiang to Dongxing in south China's Guangxi, crossing deserts, the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the Himalayas, and other spectacular terrain. G331 stretches about 9,200 km along China's northern border, taking travelers through the vast grasslands of Inner Mongolia, the fertile plains of northeast China, and iconic destinations including Fuyuan, Mohe, Changbai Mountain, and the Greater and Lesser Khingan Mountains. G228 extends about 7,400 km from Dongxing in Guangxi to Dandong in Liaoning Province, linking China's coastal provinces and dozens of seaside cities. Running across major rivers including the Pearl, Yangtze, Yellow, and Yalu, it offers sweeping views of the country's coastline. If you could explore one part of this epic loop, where would you start?

Last night Apple briefly removed Telegram from the AppStore because a user had planted illegal porn in a public chat. Telegram was restored within hours. But I want to explain what happened — to warn other app developers and help protect online communities from similar attacks. Because Telegram quickly removes illegal content from public groups using all kinds of moderation tools, the attacker had to resort to a technical trick. He inserted AI-modified illegal content by editing an old message in an active group chat. As a result the content was effectively hidden from the group’s members, preventing them from seeing/reporting it. The attacker was a takedown extortionist: someone who demands ransom from group owners in exchange for not targeting their communities. These extortionists use automated accounts to plant illegal content in public groups and then report it directly to Apple, attempting to trigger the removal of legitimate communities whose owners refused to pay them. From a practical standpoint, illegal pornographic content in Telegram’s public groups is not a systemic problem. Our moderation is effective. The fact that attackers must resort to backdated, effectively invisible content and other technical tricks proves this. ⚠️ However, there are two important lessons here for app developers and online communities: — Extortionists have found a way to manipulate Apple into overreacting. Apple removed Telegram from the App Store before contacting us. This creates a potential systemic risk for every mobile app that hosts user-generated content. If an app used by more than a billion people can be removed from the App Store without prior warning, any app can be. — The tactics used by takedown extortionists are evolving, putting communities across social platforms at risk. Telegram has extensive experience identifying the tricks used by coordinated reporting gangs and protecting legitimate communities (even when doing so risks our own app being temporarily removed from the App Store). Other platforms may not be equally prepared. Stay vigilant! ☝️
