A streamer who goes by “Chud the Builder,” who is know for spewing racial slurs online, was arrested outside a Tennessee courthouse for allegedly getting in a shootout with another man. In a heated exchange during a Senate hearing on Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel denied allegations of frequent drinking when asked by Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) about a recent report by The Atlantic magazine which included allegations that Patel often drinks to excess. "It's a total farce," the FBI director said. Patel filed a defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic, saying the report included "false and obviously fabricated" claims. Sen. Van Hollen met with and helped to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the U.S. from El Salvador after he was deported last year. Claims made by Patel possibly referring to Garcia as a "gang banger rapist" are factually incorrect. Garcia faces human smuggling charges in Tennessee, and had a restraining order filed against him by his wife.

A police officer in Chattanooga, Tennessee jumped into action on May 1 when he arrived to the scene of a home fire, where two children and their mother were inside. Before the fire department arrived, Officer Rogers entered the residence and led the family to safety before using a fire extinguisher to clear the flames. CBS News' @SkylerHenry has more.

A police officer in Chattanooga, Tennessee is being hailed for his bravery after rushing into a burning apartment building to rescue a mother and two children before firefighters arrived. Bodycam footage shows Officer Rogers entering the apartment to evacuate the family, then returning with a fire extinguisher to help fight the flames. No injuries were reported, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department, which said the fire was under control within 20 minutes.
