Pearl Abyss has confirmed that a DLC for Crimson Desert is officially in development, but the studio says its immediate focus is improving the core game experience and responding to player feedback. While no release window or details for the DLC have been announced, the devs have several priorities for the coming months: > Story and narrative improvements to strengthen Kliff’s journey and improve the flow of important story moments. >New combat content and additional gameplay features to expand the overall experience. >Ongoing quality-of-life updates, performance enhancements, and other player-requested improvements. Pearl Abyss acknowledged feedback regarding the game’s story and said it is revisiting narrative content to make it more engaging for both new and returning players. Facebook Marketplace sellers are using AI-generated models to help sell products that were getting little or no attention. Some sellers shared that their old listings started getting more views and messages once they added AI-generated people to the photos. One seller said they were “flooded with interest” after updating a gym equipment listing with an AI model. Japanese developers are starting to openly admit that Korean studios are catching up fast, especially in AAA game development. At G-CON 2025, NieR creator Yoko Taro said that “a lot of Korean developers are ahead of Japan” when it comes to technology. Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya also expressed concerns over Japan being “left behind.” Games like Crimson Desert are a big reason why people are taking those comments seriously. Korean studios are now making huge AAA games that can compete directly with Japanese and Western titles. Japanese developers are not reacting with hostility.
