A new fastest Autonomous Cannonball Run Record has been set tonight from myself @DavidMoss, @scotsrule08, & @OwenSparks We left the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan NYC at precisely 12:38AM this past Saturday morning July 25th 2026 & arrived this evening Sunday July 26th 2026 47 hours 15min & 39 seconds later at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, CA. It was a total distance of 2,886 miles (4,645KM) & beat the previous record team by 2:40:18 This was done absolutely entirely 100.0% with 0 disengagements using Tesla FSD v14.3.6 We’d like to give some thank you’s to the following: @AlexRoy144 thanks for doing all you do & being the pioneer of this in the modern/autonomous age @TeslaCharging team; @MdeZegher, @G_Bahadue & the rest. Breaking: Arthur Hayes-Founded BitMEX, Pioneer of Crypto Perpetuals, to Shut Down BitMEX said it will permanently close its exchange at 04:00 UTC on September 23 and has stopped accepting new user registrations. Co-founded by Arthur Hayes in 2014, BitMEX introduced the crypto industry’s first perpetual swap and was once one of the world’s dominant derivatives exchanges before losing market share to Binance and Bybit. Hayes and his co-founders stepped down after U.S. criminal charges in 2020, while a reported effort to sell the exchange in 2025 did not result in an announced deal.

Another awesome robotics company raised funds in Europe. 🇪🇺 This time a company that is shipping robots that build! @BuildMonumental has raised $32M Series B led by Khosla Ventures, and its fleet of autonomous bricklaying robots has already built more than 100 real structures across Europe. Houses. A school. A community centre. A hotel. Canal walls. Founded by @salar al Khafaji and Sebastiaan Visser, the co-founders of data visualisation firm Silk, acquired by Palantir in 2016, this is a team that knows how to build and sell a company. The technology is serious: → Fleet of 100+ electric autonomous robots operating on live job sites today → Advanced sensors, computer vision and small cranes laying brick to millimetre precision → All driven by Atrium, their proprietary AI software platform → Nearly half of all homes built in the last three months alone, pace is compounding fast The business model is also worth taking a look at. Contractors don't buy the robots. They hire Monumental as an autonomous subcontractor and pay for finished wall. So in the end you only pay for the output. This is the same forward-deployed engineering model Palantir pioneered in software. Monumental brought it to physical robotics years before anyone else in the industry caught on.
