Time to be straight with you about hoodl. The idea was good. The implementation wasn't 100%. Two main things I got wrong: 1. The game punished trading. Sell taxes, clocks resetting, every mechanic told you to never touch the token. But trading is what fills the pot. I built a prize pool that needed volume inside a design that suppressed it. 2. The custom hook. It made $hoodl unswappable on normal Uniswap and aggregators, which pushed people into scam pools. Neither is fixable in place. The hook is immutable. I can't patch v1 into what it should have been. So here's what I learned, partly from watching what actually works on this chain (credit where due, stonkbrokers showed what good plumbing looks like): Value has to flow into the liquid token, and the NFT gets priced in the token, never the other way around. Fees have to come from activity the game encourages, not activity it punishes. And the token has to trade clean, anywhere, no tricks in the swap path. And here's where I've landed: I don't want to leave it how it is. The idea deserves better than the version I shipped, and this community deserves the best version possible. So that's what I'm building. hoodl v2 is coming. v1 holders, you won't be left behind. There will be a path in. And v1 isn’t shutting down: it keeps running exactly as it does today, the game, the pot, the fees, all of it, for anyone who decides to stay. The Sheriff got away with one. He won't get away with two. Details soon.

Hello. We have reached 8M active users across Codex and ChatGPT Work. We are once again resetting the usage limits for all. And we continue to not have the 5h rate limit as well, allowing everyone to explore the boundaries of GPT-5.6 Sol and discover how ambitious you can be. See you tomorrow for more updates on our growth!

First Principles Ep. 4 with Alvin Roth Long before crypto made coordination programmable, Nobel Prize winner Alvin Roth was designing markets where coordination could save lives, matching doctors to hospitals, students to schools, and kidney donors to the patients who need them. Roth explains why markets are not just natural forces, but engineered systems; why the details of timing, congestion, incentives, and trust can make or break a marketplace; and why some of the most important markets are the ones where simply exchanging money can’t do the work. Hosted by @Tim_Roughgarden with @skominers. 00:00 Intro: Why market design matters 04:18 The economist as engineer 08:09 When theory meets the real world 07:02 Fixing the medical residency match 15:32 Why markets unravel 18:22 Redesigning NYC high school admissions 28:05 The hidden problem of congestion 34:47 How kidney exchange saves lives 45:26 How the internet changed market design 48:25 Airbnb, Uber and smarter marketplaces 51:28 Repugnant transactions and moral economics 53:32 When markets need social support 54:32 The unexpected effects of criminalizing surrogacy 01:04:58 Preference signals and the job market 01:18:53 A broken market: resettling refugees and other migrants

Hello beautiful people! We have reset usage limits across Codex and ChatGPT Work. And another one will come later in the day. Rejoice. Now that I have your attention, a quick update on ChatGPT Work, Codex and all the updates we shared yesterday. We’ve spent the last 24 hours reading feedback, looking at usage patterns, and talking with many of you. The short version is that there is a *lot* of excitement for GPT 5.6 Sol, ChatGPT Work on mobile & web, but also that we didn't get everything quite right. - We made it too easy to use the highest-compute settings without making the impact on usage limits sufficiently clear. - We reorganized the desktop app in one bold move, making familiar things like chats and projects harder to find. - Our launch framing was focused on ChatGPT Work and to some of our Codex fans it made it feel like Codex was going away over time. Absolutely not our intention, we love Codex and it is here to stay. - And we introduced regressions for some existing multi-agent workflows, alongside a collection of rough edges in plugins and other parts of the experience. We’re landing a first set of improvements today. We’re resetting usage twice so people can keep experimenting, changing defaults and the model picker so they don’t push people toward unnecessarily expensive settings, fixing several plugin submission issues, improving how we represent Codex in the product, and cleaning up some of the most immediate desktop problems. A larger set of improvements will land next week. We’re bringing chats and projects back into the sidebar in a more familiar and customizable way, making usage and reset timing much more visible, clarifying when to use ChatGPT Work and when to use Codex, and addressing the many other smaller pieces of great feedback we've had. The ambition behind this launch hasn’t changed. We think bringing ChatGPT and Codex together into a workspace where people and agents can collaborate is a very important step forward. But an ambitious direction doesn’t excuse avoidable confusion or regressions in the first version. Please keep the feedback coming. We’re moving quickly, and you should see the experience already get better with a few updates today; and substantially better again next week.

Earlier today, ~3% of Claude Code Max and Pro users hit a bug that showed an incorrect weekly usage limit, and in some cases blocked them from sending messages. This is fixed, and we're resetting 5-hour and weekly limits for everyone affected. Apologies for the disruption.

GM, happy Wednesday CT ☕ Been looking at a few projects and what they’re actually trying to solve @TheARCTERMINAL is less about basic AI chat and more about agents, that can actually keep context and build on past interactions instead of resetting every time @quipnetwork is more infra focused direction distributed compute + long term security thinking around post quantum systems @useTria is just making crypto usage simpler across chains in one place without too much friction Explore Tria:

The projects I keep watching are making hard things feel simple: @XOOBNetwork Making Web3 easier to use instead of throwing complexity at people immediately. @River4fun @RiverdotInc makes $RIVER tie community activity back into actual protocol utility. @TheARCTERMINAL ANIMA is what caught my attention here. Memory that actually keeps context changes everything, because progress builds instead of resetting every session.

This is a major reason why mass immigration generates such intense resentment. Many immigrants not only fail to identify with their new country and its native people, but they actively oppose them and everything the host culture represents. Here she is, the same person defines “ethnic cleansing” as the permanent resettlement of an entire ethnic group from their homeland, yet openly celebrates the demographic decline of the white British population, declaring “We are winning.” This isn’t treason. Treason implies betrayal from within a group. This is something else entirely: a demographic invasion by people who were never part of the historic British nation. An ethnic cleansing per her own definition. When native Britons say “send them all back,” it’s really hard not to sympathize.
