Marc Brooker joined AWS in 2008 after meeting EC2 engineers in a Cape Town bar. His PhD advisor said he was wasting his talent on "a company that sells books." 18 years later, he's a VP & Distinguished Engineer—still building, still believing the most interesting stuff is yet to come.
