Bitcoin’s role in portfolios is evolving, and it could be considered a complementary diversifier. We believe a modest allocation (typically ~1–2%) could impact return potential in a portfolio while maintaining appropriate risk tolerance. Hear more from Michael Gates on how bitcoin’s unique properties may complement traditional portfolios ⏩ #FinancialAdvisors# #Cryptocurrency# #Bitcoin#

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Premier League confirm an independent Commission has found Manchester City GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES related to serious breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules over a nine-season period, and the majority of charges in relation to its failure to co-operate with the League’s investigation. The club has the right to appeal the independent Commission’s findings and has until Friday 2 October to exercise that right. The Premier League Board’s intention is that the full process (including any appeals and publication of relevant decisions) is concluded as soon as possible. The independent Commission found that between Seasons 2009/10 and 2017/18: - Manchester City arranged ‘sham’ contracts (which misrepresented the true agreement between the parties) with a number of its commercial partners, as well as relying on ‘sham’ agreements with others, to artificially inflate the club’s revenues and reduce its costs - The club filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators - Manchester City was significantly in breach of both the Premier League’s and UEFA’s spending limits - During the Premier League’s investigation, Manchester City committed multiple breaches of its duties of co-operation and utmost good faith towards the League (three of the four alleged breaches were upheld)

Why Tokenization Could Be the Most Important Economic Innovation of Our Lifetime | Bruce Fenton @BruceFenton is a longtime Bitcoin advocate since 2012, securities professional, and one of the early pioneers of tokenized securities. He is the founder and CEO of Chainstone Labs and founder of Atlantic Financial. Alongside Overstock founder @PatrickByrne, Bruce was involved in some of the earliest efforts to bring securities and financial-market infrastructure onto blockchain rails. In 2018, he tokenized equity in his own company, Chainstone Labs, on the Ravencoin blockchain—years before tokenization became one of Wall Street’s biggest narratives. In this episode, Bruce breaks down naked short selling, the plumbing behind traditional securities markets, and why he believes much of the problem is ultimately a ledger problem. We dive into questions such as: Who actually owns the stocks sitting in your brokerage account? How can shares be lent and rehypothecated? What role do brokers, clearing firms, DTCC, and Cede & Co. play in determining who owns what? And could blockchain replace an opaque system of claims and intermediaries with a transparent ledger showing exactly where an asset is and who owns it? We unpack what “tokenized stocks” actually means—and the important distinction between a token that simply gives you exposure to a stock’s price and a security issued natively onchain, where the token itself represents the actual share and the ownership rights that come with it. Bruce discusses how tokenization could allow smaller businesses to tokenize ownership and have their stock traded globally without needing to be listed on a traditional exchange like the NYSE, as well as what a future without KYC could look like. Finally, we get into Wall Street’s embrace of tokenization, the SEC’s evolving approach to tokenized securities, and one of the biggest questions surrounding the future of this technology: who ultimately controls these new financial rails? Many have asked me to give my 2 cents on the (newest) HCL controversy. Probably a bad idea, so I’ll do it anyway: I don’t know C Ye or Britney or any of the “newer” HCL regs. And I have no insider info on this dispute. But I do know a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ about Nik Airball and Ryan Feldman. In my opinion, this is all par for the course for them: I believe they will do and say whatever they need to protect their financial interests. If you haven’t read Beneath the Cards, I break it all down there. As I see it, Airball has long been committed to doing whatever it took to become a mainstay on HCL. Give him credit: mission accomplished. And I think Ryan did and said numerous things in an attempt to destroy my reputation the moment I publicly stated that something shady went down on his show. Four years and a bestselling book later, mission definitely not accomplished. Here’s the takeaway, as is sadly too often the case in the pokersphere: Follow the money. It will so often explain the why behind the actions of the less-savory characters in our industry. In short, if Britney is good for the game, I suspect Ryan and Airball will go to great lengths to protect her.
