The simplest question to ask a socialist is how much of their own money they have given to the causes they support The answer is always 0 On some deep psychological level, it’s because they see taxation and control of other people’s money **as their contribution** to solving the problem Some people really do care about the causes (doubtful that ro or warren or aoc or Bernie do at all) but regardless the core moral error is they think that being the one to demand where money is spent is a morally good action. It isn’t. Service is service. Sacrifice is sacrifice. Generosity is generosity. Secondhand is not. Controlling is not.
