Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and and FBI Director Kash Patel had a heated exchange during a Senate hearing on Tuesday after Van Hollen asked Patel whether he understood that lying to Congress is a crime.
“I do not lie to Congress,” Patel responded.
Van Hollen called Patel’s refusal to directly answer the question “extremely troubling” and called Patel “a disgrace.”
