A key breakthrough for global fusion research. On July 28 local time in France, the sixth vacuum vessel sector module of the ITER tokamak was successfully hoisted and precisely positioned, bringing the total module assembly progress past the two-thirds mark.
Led by the CNNC Engineering Consortium, the international team completed the nearly 30-hour continuous operation with zero safety and quality incidents, continuing to contribute Chinese expertise to this landmark global scientific collaboration.
