John C. Calhoun - Was a full-throated Democrat, at the time he wrote and gave his “Speech on the Oregon Bill” (1848): Calhoun directly attacked the idea that “all men are born free and equal,” saying “there is not a word of truth in it,” and he also criticized the Declaration’s statement that “all men are created equal” as “erroneous.” He argued that “individual liberty, or freedom, must be subordinate” to whatever power is necessary for social safety and order. This is from whom Woodrow Wilson grabbed the baton, in the progressive race toward nullifying the American Constitution. This is where Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Hakeem Jeffries, and all the other far-left Democrats are wanting to take America. It is bait-and-switch-selling at its epitome. Democratic rule professed - authoritarian rule implemented. If you believe evil exists and it incessantly tries to extinguish the light of truth, then here is a classic example - unsuspecting pawns, as the perpetrators might be. Be vigilant! Be aware of your surroundings! Be proactive!
