FM Wang Yi had a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio
@SecRubio.
President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump are both global leaders. Their long-term interactions and mutual respect have become the most valuable strategic asset in China-U.S. relations.
As long as both sides faithfully implement the important common understandings reached by the two Presidents, uphold the principles of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, stay committed to resolving disputes through dialogue, and avoid resorting to pressure, China-U.S. relations can stabilize and move forward.
It is hoped that the two sides will work together to pave the way for high-level interactions, and create conditions for the development of bilateral relations.
