#Mali#: We deplore the reported torture & killing of dozens of surrendering soldiers by the Touareg-led Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) & the Jama'at Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimin (JNIM) in the Gao region on 18 July.
Killing, torturing or abusing individuals hors de combat is a war crime. There needs to be a thorough, independent investigation, and accountability. The armed groups must stop such violations & prevent any recurrence.

War in #Ukraine# is having deepening impact on civilians. Under international humanitarian law, civilians and civilian infrastructure are strictly protected. Any such deliberate attack is a war crime.

The recent intensified attacks on residential areas by Israeli military in #Gaza has# killed & injured dozens of Palestinian children, women & men.
Meanwhile, the population remains trapped in an ever-shrinking area, with the “yellow line” constantly being moved westwards by the Israeli military, which appears to routinely fire on Palestinians for mere presence in the vicinity of the line.
Deliberately attacking civilians is a war crime.
