Musk does not have to spend his own money to fund his projects. In fact most entrepreneurs do not spend or need to spend their own money. I am saying from my personal experience. An investment of $25 million by venture capitalists turned into $10 billlion for the venture capitalists in about 10 years. My own investment was just $75,000. Did I feel discouraged because most of the money was made by venture capitalist? Of course not. Whether the government had taken most of the money, or the venture capitalists, would not discourage me from starting another business using some other people's money. Elon Musk's initial investment in Tesla was only $6.5 million. He did not need to invest the rest, but he wanted to. In fact most entrepreneurs are driven by their desire to solve a problem, especially those who have already made money. No amount of tax would discourage them from solving another difficult problem. Your arguments are simply a hypothesis not supported by evidence from real life.
