Will GPT-5.6 be released before end of June?
GPT-5.5 launched April 23. OpenAI releases updates every 6-8 weeks
What we expect from 5.6:
>> Context window beyond 1M tokens
>> UltraFast mode in Codex 2-5x faster
>> Better multi-step reasoning
But there's a competitor. Claude Opus 4.8 already launched with the /goal feature developers say it's faster than Codex
OpenAI is now playing catch up. Can they overtake Anthropic?
