Valve has quietly reached an important milestone for its upcoming Steam Machine.
The device was recently added to the official Vulkan 1.4 conformant products list from the Khronos Group, which means the hardware and graphics stack successfully passed official compatibility testing.
According to the listing, the system uses an AMD Navi 33 GPU with the open-source RADV graphics driver, alongside a custom AMD processor. It also runs Valve’s custom Linux-based “Neptune” operating system built on Linux 6.16.
