Muslim armies invaded Spain in 711 AD and occupied it for nearly 800 years.
The Reconquista was not a myth or “colonial project.” It was a centuries-long Christian struggle to reclaim their own homeland from Islamic rule. It ended in 1492 when Ferdinand and Isabella took Granada, the last Muslim stronghold.
West, take note: civilizations that forget how they were conquered once can be conquered again.
