Our first Kite demo was ChatGPT ordering Uber Eats for you. It never got past the login screen. Uber's CAPTCHA was built for humans, and agents cannot pass it. On @gracegongGG's Venture with Grace, our Co-Founder & CEO @ChiZhangData traced how that moment shaped the way we design Kite. ▷ The demo died at the login, not at ordering or paying. The blocker was proving the agent was allowed to be there at all. Spinning up a browser extension to click through the CAPTCHA works, but it is a temporary stage of how agents and the internet should work together. ▷ The permanent path is identity. Every agent needs to prove who it is and where it comes from, carrying who its human or organization principal is, what its purpose is, and the exact authorization scope for that session or request. An agent showing up with no reason is either hallucinating or attacking you. ▷ Where this is heading: an API-first agentic internet, where headless agents authenticate without human login credentials. x402 and MCP are already marching toward that. Kite Agent Passport is that identity layer: verifiable identity, delegated authority, and permissions scoped per session. No more "prove you're human." 🪁

The machine economy does not begin when robots get smarter. It begins when a machine can be paid to do something, and every party involved can prove what happened. Made with @FabricFND. Two systems meet in the middle of it: Agent Passport issues the agent a verifiable identity and a spending authority its owner defines, and RoboPay actuates a robot after the payment behind the request checks out. What happens before the robot moves: ▷ Authority is granted once, and it is bounded. The human signs a spending session with a passkey: a total budget, a per-transaction ceiling, the assets allowed, and an expiry. The agent holds no card number and no wallet key. It holds a delegation it cannot exceed. ▷ Two payments, because these are two different obligations. One settles with the merchant for the goods. A separate x402 payment pays the robot for the work of moving them. Buying a thing and hiring a machine to carry it are not the same transaction, and the receipt keeps them apart. ▷ Verification comes before motion. The request arrives with an x402 payment header. The facilitator checks the network, the price, the payee wallet, and the signed payload. Only then are the transaction details sealed onto the robot action event and the command published. Until that clears, the robot sits still. ▷ Every step leaves a receipt. Identity, scope, approval, both payments, verification, dispatch. When you need to know why a machine did something, the answer is a record rather than a guess. (This run was executed in a demo environment.) Agents have been paying for software for a while now. Paying for physical work is a harder problem, because a delivery cannot be rolled back. The guarantee has to sit in front of the action instead of behind it. Authorization before payment, payment before motion: that ordering is what makes it safe to let autonomous systems spend in the world we live in. It is also the layer the machine economy has to get right before anything else in it can work. Scoped by Kite. Verified by RoboPay. Delivered in the real world. 🪁

Before agents can participate in the economy, someone has to answer the trust question: who authorized this agent, and within what limits? On Monday evening in Seoul, that question filled a room. Thank you to everyone who joined Proof of AI: Korea Special Edition, and to our partners @soohoio, @avax, @hashed_official, @FabricFND, and @tiger_research_ for building the evening with us. Our Cindy Shi opened with a keynote on Kite Passport and the state of agentic payments: where Kite Passport sits in the stack, why identity, permission, and trust come before scale, and live demos of what agents can already do today. Then the panel dug into the agent economy in Korea, moderated by @yumi_mika_ (SOOHO IO), with @eugene_avax (Avalanche Team1), @junkim (Hashed), @degenapeo (Fabric Foundation), and @ekko_924 (Tiger Research): ▷ What infrastructure agents need as they evolve from tools into economic actors ▷ How authorization should be designed: budget limits, permission controls, and security verification ▷ Which agent use cases will land first in the Korean market Seoul is taking the agent economy seriously. Thank you, and see you at the next one. 🪁

AI agents are moving beyond chat interfaces and productivity tools. The next question: what infrastructure do they need before they can safely act, transact, and participate in the economy? Tomorrow evening in Seoul, Kite is hosting Proof of AI: Korea Special Edition. An intimate evening of focused conversations on the next phase of the agent economy, bringing builders, ecosystem leaders, wallet and payment teams, and security experts into one room. 👏 Partners on board: @soohoio @avax @hashed_official @FabricFND @tiger_research_ 📅 Monday, July 20, 2026 ⏰ 19:00 - 21:30 (GMT+9) 📍 Sooho Lounge, B1, 126 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul 🔗 RSVP:

There are three stages to true agent-to-agent commerce. Today we are somewhere in stage two. On @gracegongGG's Venture with Grace, our Co-Founder & CEO @ChiZhangData mapped where agentic payments actually stand, and what has to exist before the last stage unlocks. ▷ Stage 1: agent to website. Your ChatGPT searches Amazon. There is no agent on the other side, just a product catalog. ▷ Stage 2: multi-agent under one owner. A one-person company running ten agents as CTO, CEO, and ops. They sit inside one trusted environment, so they never need to prove identity or pay each other. ▷ Stage 3: true A2A. My agent talks to your agent across separate entities. Deals close and payments settle, and neither side has ever met the other's human. The endgame in Chi's words: "agents truly react as an economic actor, like human," each one a participant in the same economy we are. Getting to stage three is what Kite is built for: verifiable identity, delegated authority, and native payments so any agent can act as a full economic actor. 🪁

An agent that can transact has to answer one question first: who authorized this, and within what limits? Kite is teaming up with @okx to bring verifiable identity and programmable spend controls to autonomous agents on OKX OnchainOS. ▷ What Kite brings: the Kite Agent Passport, a verifiable cryptographic identity for every agent, with enforceable, user-defined spend controls and a kill switch the human always holds. ▷ How it connects: Agent Passport plugs into OnchainOS, @wallet's onchain toolkit for AI agents, as the identity and authorization layer on top of OKX's execution infrastructure, so agents act autonomously but only within the boundaries they're granted. ▷ Why it matters: OnchainOS already gives agents the rails to move across 60+ chains and 500+ DEXs. Pairing that reach with verifiable identity and spend controls is a real step toward an open agentic economy where agents can transact safely at scale. Proud to join OKX AI, excited for the future. Let's build the agent economy together. 🪁
