🐆 A conservation milestone in China's Helan Mountains!
For the first time, a reintroduced female snow leopard has successfully raised a wild-born cub, proving that the species can complete an entire reproductive cycle in the wild and helping bring the reserve's tracked snow leopard population to nine.
This achievement reflects years of ecological restoration, with blue sheep populations rising from just over 1,500 in 1983 to more than 41,000 in 2023, paving the way for snow leopards and other wildlife to return.
