Fidel Castro imposed communism in Cuba and plunged the country into terror, pain, and misery, forcing families into exile and separation.
Hugo Chávez followed in his footsteps, destroyed democracy in Venezuela, and established a corrupt and cruel tyranny that used the resources of the Venezuelan people to destabilize the region.
Our nations know the horror that communism entails, and we have decided to close that chapter forever.
Cuba and Venezuela will be free. United, no longer by the oppression imposed upon us, but by the Freedom we are conquering.
