If it looks like an Amazon delivery and drives like an Amazon delivery, then it's an Amazon delivery, right? Not according to Amazon. Big companies like Amazon have built a vast network of subcontractors who deliver their packages while shielding them from accountability. It leaves our workers unprotected and our streets less safe. It's time for a change. I'm proud to support the Delivery Protection Act to crack down on exploitative subcontracting and build an economy that works for everyone.

Too many lives have been cut short by high-speed, illegal e-bikes and e-scooters. That’s why we are issuing cease-and-desist orders against 42 online retailers that have been selling these dangerous devices to New York City residents — including Target, Temu, Wayfair, Walmart, and Amazon.  The safety of New Yorkers is not for sale.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s illegal for landlords to: - Lock you out or evict you without a court order. - Shut off your heat, hot water, electricity, or other essential services to force you out of your home. - Retaliate against you for reporting unsafe conditions or exercising your tenant rights. - Leave serious health and safety hazards, like mold, unrepaired. - Discriminate against you because of your race, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.

As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.
