🔴 Everyone's talking about the "asymmetry" on $SYN and comparing it to HYPE in its early days. Let's talk numbers.
Over the last 24h,
@SynapseProtocol processed $83,100 of volume on SpaceX and $50 on the S&P 500. Yes, just 50 dollars.
Meanwhile,
@DeriveXYZ, the actual leader in on-chain options (over 70% market share), does around $80M per day.
And yet, the two have nearly identical FDVs ($125M for SYN, $170M for DRV). One does a few tens of thousands in volume, the other tens of millions.
So where's the hype around SYN coming from? Mostly from
@CryptoHayes, who bought around $2.2M of tokens OTC before starting to shill it.
For the past few days, he's been comparing Hypercall (ex-Synapse) to Hyperliquid or Deribit to anyone who'll listen.
The problem is, we know how this plays out: he backs a token, keeps the FOMO going, then announces out of nowhere that he's sold everything and never mentions it again.
Can SYN keep going up? Sure. In cases like this, hype can last longer than your portfolio can hold a short.
But one thing is clear: the real "asymmetry" was at the SPCX options launch back in early June (props to those who played it), not at +1,000% on comparisons that don't hold up to analysis.
