I continue to follow with deep concern the ongoing and escalating violence in the #HolyLand#, where, in recent days, many civilians, both in the West Bank and in Gaza, have once again fallen victim. I make a heartfelt appeal for a return to negotiations to achieve a just political solution, founded on the equal dignity and equal rights of every human person. At the same time, I urge the rejection of further military actions and unilateral decisions, especially those that violate the respect for and the status quo of the holy places of every religion.

We can experience joy in difficult circumstances only if our lives are rooted in a relationship with God as a loving Father. Only God's love can give us true and perfect joy. If we are deeply convinced that God cares for us as His beloved children, we will not be confused or discouraged, even in the midst of hardship.

The beauty of the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia inspires us to learn ever more from our Master and Lord the art of living according to His Gospel. As we lift our gaze toward Him, the Crucified and Risen One, let us commit ourselves to lift up those who lie in the dust (cf. 1 Sam 2:8). Let us show in this way that the Sagrada Familia is the tallest church in the world, not so as to stand out in worldly rankings, but rather to guide the steps of the people of God, with the Cross illuminating their path, like a lamp burning brightly as we await the return of the Bridegroom. #ApostolicJourney# #Spain#
