There are 4 pillars in League of Legends you need to understand if you want to start climbing. 1. Mechanics Mechanical execution is being able to execute your character in the most efficient manner. This includes things such as : - Mouse Accuracy - Camera Control - Character Control - Keyboard Timing Often times this comes with practice because you need to develop the mind muscle connection to make sure everything flows smoothly. 2. Zone of Influence Zone of Influence is about understanding the ranges people can impact. The best way to visualize this is by watching scripts. You now basically want to learn to script with your mind and create a game plan on how you approach last hitting minions and trading with your opponents. Some things you will need to account for certain abilities include: - How far an ability goes - How fast it goes - How wide is it - Is it blocked on impact When you weigh these things as you approach someone, it helps you position or to juke so you can achieve whatever it is you want to do. 3. Wave Management Wave management is important because this dictates when you are likely to trade and setting up situations to come out favorably on tempo. The general consensus is to play aggressive when you have a slow push to lead to a potential tower dive or to get the enemy low enough to outplay the enemy jungle. When the enemy has the slow push you want to avoid taking heavy trades and play passively so you don't die or get dove. This concept is important for junglers to understand because it can lead to you skipping those krugs or gromp to gank a lane before your opponent becomes ungankable due to crashing the wave or being safe under turret. 4. Decision Making Last but not least we have decision making. There's way to many things to include in this section since its about adapting to each game but the general idea will always be do you rotate to X objective. Do you roam, do you follow an odd play that your teammates are doing. Decision making comes in the form of macro plays & micro plays and should be brought up as situations arise. Study the Saskio way
