How SpaceX is building the operating system for an off-world economy. The deeper point isn’t whether SpaceX becomes worth more than Earth’s current $600 trillion in material assets. It’s that the company is positioning itself as the essential infrastructure layer for an entirely new economic domain. In past resource expansions, the greatest wealth was captured not by those who owned the resources, but by those who built the systems to access and move them. If SpaceX succeeds at scale, its value will come from enabling abundance rather than controlling scarcity.
