🚨 🔥 BREAKING: Confidential letter shows Tata Communications-ST Telemedia data centre fire in New Delhi caused "extensive damage", days after a "business continuity" calm filed by Tata with Indian exchanges. Among the clients hit: Google Cloud and India's Matrix Cellular. 🚨 The fire was "so severe that it caused extensive damage" -- and recovering the lost data and systems now faces "significant challenges," Tata admits in a letter to a client reviewed by Reuters. 🚨 The clients are counting the cost. Matrix . says it has potentially lost access to over 20 years of operational and business data. "It's been 20 days and they have not restored backup," its CEO Gaurav Khanna told us. "If there is a backup it should have been restored by now." 🚨  A representative of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India said in one email that it was running "detailed assessments and commissioned independent technical root cause analysis" of the incident, expected to be completed in five to seven weeks.  🚨Some of Google Cloud's intermittent network disruptions in India also relate to the incident, a source with direct knowledge told us.
