Just a PSA for people attending @TOKEN2049 in Singapore: if your first ever message to a new connection is asking for a coffee catch-up during the busiest week of the year in crypto, you're doing it wrong. If we're not already talking in the weeks or months leading up to TOKEN2049, you're probably not that important to me, and I'm probably not that important to you. 😐 We have no rapport and no established context to discuss anything material. It's essentially a gamble. 30mins coffee chat is easily 1 hour+ per meeting accounting for the traffic. An hour during the week of TOKEN2049 is a lifetime. I'm not gambling away my time. So stop asking. That's what side events are for. I'm happy to meet absolutely anyone and everyone there. We both have the liberty to determine whether it's worth having a 15-second chat, a 5-minute chat,a 1-hour chat, or a 4 hours of event-hopping finishing the night at Marquee before eventually becoming each other's BFFs. Yeah, you get the idea. This year, I'll be speaking at TOKEN2049 on both days, and I've put aside time to meet and greet everyone at our booth.
