Modern IPOs aren’t just price discovery. They’re a pipeline into passive capital. Once a stock joins a major index, billions from ETFs and pension funds are required to follow. Passive capital isn’t infinite either. The real question is: how many trillion dollar IPOs can the market absorb before there simply aren’t enough forced buyers left?
