Imagine data centers of the future… not on Earth, but in orbit.
In space, cooling solves itself — heat is simply radiated into the vacuum. No massive cooling systems, no energy wasted on air conditioning. Just solar panels + radiators.
SpaceX is already developing these AI satellites. According to Elon, they will be much simpler than regular Starlink satellites and will essentially function as “compute racks in space.”
Starship will make it possible to launch them by the thousands — and eventually millions of tons per year.
The result? Practically unlimited AI scalability and a real step toward becoming a spacefaring civilization.
