Did you know Ben & Jerry’s reportedly sold soups, crêpes, and even pottery when they first opened their shop? Ice cream was only one part of the business 🤯 Like many early-stage founders, they had not perfectly defined the winning offer before launching. They entered the market, watched what customers responded to, and gradually learned where the strongest demand was. According to ice cream eventually became the shop’s main attraction. The other products faded as customers kept returning for what they valued most 👏 Many new founders delay launching because they think the business needs to be fully figured out first. The perfect offer. The perfect positioning. The exact thing they want to become known for. But a business plan can only take you so far. Real market clarity comes from watching what customers repeatedly buy, ask for, return to, and recommend. 💡 Pay attention to patterns such as: → Which offer creates the strongest response? → What do customers keep coming back for? → What do they mention when recommending you? → Where are they willing to spend more time or money? Then use those signals to sharpen your offer, positioning, and business model. You do not need to predict the final version of your business before you begin. Get into the market, observe closely, and let customer behaviour help reveal what the business should become known for. As always, keep going and growing. 👉 Follow @bMightie for more founder intelligence for solo founders and bootstrapped businesses on the journey from day zero to takeoff. #foundingstory# #founderlife# #startupshowup# #startupstory# #newbusiness#
