- climate change is still happening at same rate it always has
- nuclear = only solution
- if the grid is powered by solar/wind it will need a way to survive 2-week windless, sunless stretches
- if solar/wind replaces carbon fuel and powers half the global grid by 2065 you would need multiple TWh of batteries (or 1000's of years of today's entire global battery output and basic minimums of 40–750x current lithium/graphite/copper mining)
- current global industrial capacity is on track for EV's NOT 14 day grid level backup storage
- 100% reduction in EU/US emissions would be undone in 16 years by China, India and the rest of the world (capping economic growth doesn't work because there's no global government)
