South Korea’s top court has made its final decision in the long legal fight between Nexon and Ironmace creators of Dark and Darker. The court said Ironmace and its boss must pay Nexon about 5.7 billion won, or 3.84 million dollars, for using secret information from Nexon’s old canceled project. The court did not agree with Nexon’s claim that the game copied their work and said Dark and Darker is original enough. There is no ban on the game, so it can keep running as normal. Ironmace said this gives them clear legal safety after 5 hard years but a separate criminal case is still going. Dark and Darker is still in early access and keeps getting updates.
