Chinese company Origin Quantum has launched its fourth-generation superconducting quantum computer, called the Origin Wukong-180.
This new system uses a single chip with 180 main qubits and 251 connecting qubits. Qubits are the basic building blocks that allow quantum computers to solve very hard problems much faster than ordinary computers.
It is a major upgrade from the third-generation model, which had only 72 qubits and has already completed more than 900,000 tasks for users in over 160 countries.
The Wukong-180 offers better performance and stability, with 99.9% accuracy for single operations.
It is now open for anyone in the world to use through the cloud.People can connect online and run their own quantum tasks.
All key parts including the quantum chip, control system, special cooling equipment, and operating software were developed entirely in China.
