According to estimates from Alinea Analytics, Saros is selling slower than Returnal, even though the PS5 player base is much bigger now than in 2021.
The analytics firm estimates Saros sold a little over 300,000 copies in its first two weeks. Some analysts believe the game may struggle to recoup its reported budget if sales do not improve
Sony has not released official sales figures for Saros as of May 12.
Some say that the slower sales are due to roguelike shooters remaining a niche genre, while others point to the $70 launch price.
