Disney is being sued over its use of facial recognition technology at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
The lawsuit is asking for at least $5 million in damages. The plaintiff claims many guests, including children, may not have known their biometric data was being collected.
The system was added to speed up park entry and prevent ticket fraud.
Disney says the system is optional and guests can choose other entry lines if they do not want facial scanning.
The company also says it does not store regular face photos but converts scans into encrypted data typically deleted within 30 days.
