SpaceX has introduced a new website for its AI training clusters in Tennessee/Mississippi. New info: • Tesla Megapacks will provide 3.3 GWh to Colossus 2, enough to power Memphis for two hours, making it America’s largest grid-connected battery pack. • SpaceX has invested millions of dollars in sound walls, silencers, and next-gen turbines with advanced quieting technologies. • Since joining the community in 2024, SpaceXAI is investing more than $90 billion in the region. Estimated 2026 tax revenue will be $60M+ • 7,500 local jobs supported • SpaceXAI is investing $360 million, at no cost to the city, in a clean water recycling plant. It is designed to process up to 10 million gallons of wastewater a day and would offset ~3.64 billion gallons a year from the Memphis Aquifer. • In Memphis, SpaceXAI is investing $35 million in a 150 MW substation to support MLGW and another $20 million in a second substation. Both come online at no cost to MLGW or homeowners. • Temporary power is coming off. Under an agreed order with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, all remaining temporary turbines must be removed by July 2027. Motortrend after driving the new Tesla Semi: "Driving the Semi was surprisingly familiar, shockingly easy, and dare I say, several tons of fun. Lane centering wasn’t a problem, thanks to fantastic visibility straight ahead and out of the tall side windows. Tesla claims Semi needs only a little more room to make a U-turn than a Model Y, and it certainly felt that way after I turned around on a two-lane road about the width of a residential street. It takes around five complete turns of the steering wheel to go lock-to-lock, and the feeling is light yet precise, thanks to the EPS."

Larry, a 98-year-old, just bought a new @Tesla Model Y, and he uses FSD (Supervised) to drive him everywhere. His first car was a 1931 Ford Model A haha. He uses Grok to navigate. "It has no problems. In fact, the other day FSD stopped when a chipmunk was crossing the road." Definitely a video worth checking out:

SpaceX has just officially announced Starbase, Louisiana, a new $100+ billion spaceport in South Louisiana near Pecan Island. Construction starts in 2027, with the first Starship launch from the new site planned for 2029. Starbase, Louisiana will be built to support thousands of Starship flights a year. This self-sustaining spaceport will have propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping capabilities, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport. SpaceX is committed to investing at least $100 billion and creating more than 3,000 new jobs at Starbase, Louisana hiring heavily from nearby communities and utilizing Louisiana workers’ extensive experience of building complex infrastructure in their unique environment. In Vermilion Parish, the shoreline is eroding between 3.3 and 23 feet per year. SpaceX is partnering with state and federal agencies to expand Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan and Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act projects, including Gulf shoreline protection breakwaters designed to reduce wave energy and slow loss along the Gulf edge.

California Post reporter Jon Fleischman: "I traded in my six-figure Lincoln Navigator Black Label Edition for a @Tesla Model Y. The biggest reason I bought the Tesla was Full Self-Driving. Nothing else was close. The car follows the navigation route, changes lanes, makes turns and responds to traffic. If you spend much time driving in Southern California traffic, it changes the experience dramatically. None of this is an environmental statement. It is a convenience statement. Tesla got me to leave a six-figure luxury SUV for a smaller and considerably more modest Model Y because the technology was more valuable to me than the size, materials and traditional comforts I was giving up. I don’t miss my Navigator. Not even a little."

Congrats @DavidMoss on being the first Tesla owner to cross 25,000 miles on the FSD streak counter! That's equivalent to one full lap around Earth, or two years of driving for the average American. Pretty wild. The confetti celebration also came back after it last appeared for him at the 5,000 mile streak milestone haha. Andrew Ross Sorkin today on his @Starlink experience on United Airlines: "Amazing. I wonder what it's going to mean for other airlines . If you were traveling from NY to LA for the next couple years, if you had a choice between Starlink and no Starlink, you'd choose Starlink. I think this is going to be huge for them."

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman on orbital data centers: "If @elonmusk and SpaceX are betting on this right now, there is no reason to believe this will not come to existence.
