🚨 do you understand what happened at the Xbox Showcase..
The show ended and most people thought that was it.
Then Sharma and Booty walked back on stage and told every fan in the room they were going home with the new Xbox Series X25 - free.
The catch: it only applied to badges marked FAN, not press.
- the console was revealed minutes earlier and still has no announced public price
- the room erupted so loud the clip is already going viral
- Sharma dropped it with one line - "how about those exclusives?"
- the same night Xbox confirmed Gears of War E-Day is a true console exclusive, no PlayStation port
New leadership, new rules. Xbox is done pretending the console war is over.

Fidelity quietly dropped its minimum account requirement from $500,000 to $2,000 - a 99.6% cut that lets millions of small retail investors in days before the biggest stock debut in history.
The catch is who they need to sell to.
- SpaceX reserved up to 30% of the offering for retail, far above the usual single-digit share
- Selling within the first 15 days triggers Fidelity penalties up to a permanent IPO ban
- At a ~$1.675T pre-money valuation this IPO creates more exit value than every VC-backed IPO of the last decade combined
- The xAI side lost $6.4B from operations in 2025, dragging a Starlink-powered company billions into the red
They opened the gates right when the smart money needs someone to sell to. Read the prospectus before you become it.

SONY JUST SOLD PEOPLE A $14 GAME THAT WAS NEVER A GAME
During Marathon's free week, PS5 players on the US store found the Deluxe Edition dropped to $14 after claiming the trial, so they bought it thinking they got the full game.
They didn't. They bought cosmetics with the game's name printed on the box.
- The store listing literally said "Marathon" was included in the Deluxe Edition
- The $14 only covered Runner Shells, a battle pass voucher, and other extras
- The PS Store thought trial players already owned the base game, so it charged them for the "upgrade" only
- When the free week ends June 9, they lose everything unless they buy the base game again
Sony quietly removed the offer and started handing out refunds. Bungie's second unforced error in 48 hours.

Marathon players thought they bought the full game for $14 but will lose access to the base game after the free week.
During Marathon’s free-play week, some PlayStation players noticed they could purchase the Deluxe Edition for $14 after claiming the free trial, so they bought it thinking it was the full price.
However, the $14 purchase only included the Deluxe Edition extras, such as the Premium Rewards Pass, tokens, cosmetics, and other bonus content.
Because the free trial was active, the PS Store treated those accounts as if they already owned the base game and charged only for the upgrade.
When the free-play week ends on June 9, anyone who only claimed the trial will lose access to Marathon unless they purchase the base game separately.
Sony has since corrected the pricing issue, removed the $14 offer from the PlayStation Store, and some people are getting refunds.

🚨 do you understand what Anthropic just published..
They released internal data showing their AI is now accelerating the development of AI itself.
This is the first step toward systems that build their own successors. They're openly warning where this leads. It could end in humans losing control.
- Tasked with speeding up model-training code, their AI went from 3x faster to 52x faster in a single year
- A skilled human needs 4-8 hours to hit 4x on the same task
- When a human researcher took a wrong turn, the AI picked a better next step 64% of the time
- They're now calling for a way to globally pause AI development before it's too late
The company making the AI is telling you it might not be able to control it. Read that again.

Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor.
It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention.

🚨 do you understand what just happened to Microsoft..
Microsoft just dropped seven of its own MAI models, trained from scratch with zero distillation, and said its custom-tuned models already match GPT-tier quality at 10x lower cost.
The partner that pays OpenAI's bills is now quietly building the thing that replaces it.
- MAI-Thinking-1 hits human-preference parity with Sonnet 4.6 and 53% on SWE Bench Pro, right next to Opus 4.6
- MAI-Code-1-Flash delivers Haiku-class coding at just 5B params and is already shipping inside GitHub Copilot
- A custom MAI model tuned for Excel matched GPT-5.4 while running up to 10x more efficiently
- Their real weapon isn't the weights, it's that they're already inside everyone's Office, Teams, and VS Code
The hard part was never training a good model. The hard part is being the room everyone already works in. Microsoft owns the room.

Super excited to announce seven new world-class MAI models today. They represent what we consider a new era in AI designed to keep you in control and on the frontier.
First is our text foundation model, MAI-Thinking-1, exceptionally strong on reasoning and SWE tasks.
- It’s a 35B active parameter MoE with a 256K context window. Independent human raters on Surge prefer it for overall quality in blind side-by-sides versus Sonnet 4.6, and it’s achieved 97% on AIME 2025, the key measure of its general-purpose reasoning abilities.
- It's at 53% on SWE Bench Pro, placing it right alongside Opus 4.6 on one of the toughest coding benchmarks.
- And since we co-designed our models with our own silicon, MAI-Thinking-1 is optimized on our MAIA 200 chip. Benchmarking head-to-head against the GB200, we see 30% better performance per dollar as well as a 1.4x performance-per-watt gain when running our MAI models on the MAIA 200 end-to-end.
Next is MAI-Image-2.5 and its Flash variant. Two super strong models now at #
2# on the leaderboards, surpassing the score of Nano Banana 2 on image editing.
Last for now is MAI-Code-1-Flash, our new inference efficient coding model, especially tuned for VS Code and GitHub Copilot CLI.
- Code-1-Flash achieves 51% on SWE Bench Pro, despite having just 5B parameters, putting it closer to Haiku in size but cheaper in cost.
All of this is the foundation for Microsoft Frontier Tuning. It lets you customize our models to create custom, company-specific agents that only you control. You can make our model, your model. Your data. Your agents. Your moat.
Early adopters are already seeing a difference. When we tuned our models for McKinsey’s tasks, MAI delivered the highest win rate, outperforming GPT-5.5 on quality, while being 10x lower on cost.
Also really excited to be collaborating with the amazing team at Mayo Clinic to jointly train a new frontier AI model for healthcare.
Our announcements today mark another milestone on the road to humanist superintelligence. You can learn more and about our other new models in our latest blog:

NVIDIA JUST KILLED THE x86 ERA
NVIDIA shipped Vera, the first CPU built specifically for AI agents - 1.8x faster than x86.
It's no longer a chip that supports the model. It's a chip that runs the model.
- 88 custom Arm cores, codename Olympus, already in full production for an autumn release
- Ian Buck hand-delivered the first units to Anthropic, OpenAI and SpaceXAI in person
- OCI plans to deploy hundreds of thousands of them starting in 2026
- One rack packs 256 Vera CPUs sustaining 22,500 concurrent CPU environments at once
Jensen said it: the CPU no longer supports the model, it drives it. The agent economy just got its engine.

ANTHROPIC JUST TURNED AI AGENTS INTO GIT REPOS
Anthropic shipped "ant" - a CLI that runs every Claude API endpoint straight from your terminal.
The headline isn't the terminal access. It's that you can now version-control an AI agent as YAML in Git and have CI sync it to the Claude Platform, the same way you ship code.
- Every API resource is a subcommand: messages, models, files, agents, sessions
- Define an agent in a YAML file, check it into your repo, and keep it in sync with one update command
- Spin up a session, send it an event, then pull every event and tool call back from the same CLI
- Claude Code knows how to drive ant out of the box - it shells out and reads the results with no glue code
Agents just stopped being prompts you babysit and became infrastructure you deploy.

We’ve added a CLI for Claude Platform to make every API endpoint runnable from your terminal.
Call the Messages API, stand up Claude Managed Agents, pipe results straight into your shell.
The ant CLI is well understood by coding agents (Claude Code) using the claude-api skill.

EVERYONE'S CALLING IT COMMUNISM
Bernie Sanders just proposed a one-time 50% tax on OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI - paid in stock, not cash - dropping half of each company into a public fund that pays dividends to every American.
The catch nobody in the replies noticed: the AI bosses asked for this first.
- OpenAI literally proposed "a public wealth fund giving every citizen a stake in AI-driven growth"
- Anthropic publicly called for "national sovereign wealth funds with stakes in AI"
- Elon Musk said federal checks were "the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI"
- Trump's government already took a 10% stake in Intel and a 15% cut of Nvidia's China chip sales - nobody screamed socialism
So the plan everyone's calling a commie fever dream was pitched by Altman, Amodei and Musk before Bernie ever said a word.

NEW: Bernie Sanders proposes the government take 50% of OpenAI & Anthropic to give the public a “direct ownership stake.”
🚨 do you understand what just happened to Claude..
Anthropic just reset every 5-hour and weekly rate limit for all Pro and Max users at once.
The reason: Opus 4.8 was quietly spawning armies of parallel subagents on its own and burning through everyone's usage faster than intended.
- April 2026: a free 20-100 dollar extra usage credit dropped right as third-party harnesses got cut off
- May 6: 5-hour limits permanently doubled and peak-hour throttling killed
- May 13: weekly limits boosted 50 percent through July
- May 15 and June 1: full manual resets for every paid subscriber
The pattern is the strategy. Every reset is soft power against Codex, Copilot and Grok dressed up as an apology

We've reset 5-hour and weekly rate limits for all users on Pro and Max plans.
We fixed an issue that caused some Claude Code sessions to spawn excessive parallel subagents, burning through usage faster than expected.

🚨 do you understand what is about to happen to the stock market..
Three of the most valuable private companies on earth - SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic - are all racing to go public in the same year.
Together they could dump close to $3 trillion of market value onto public investors in a matter of months.
- Anthropic, the company behind Claude, went from $9B to $30B+ annualized revenue in 15 months - roughly 1,400% growth
- It's now valued around $965B, passing OpenAI for the first time ever
- 2026's IPO lineup is unreal: SpaceX (up to $75B raise, biggest in history), OpenAI targeting fall, and Anthropic eyeing October
- Big funds are already hoarding cash and may sell Alphabet and other megacaps just to make room
The AI gold rush is no longer private. The shovel sellers are about to ring the bell.

THE NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL IS DEAD
After 20 years of service, NVIDIA officially retired the GeForce Control Panel today. Driver 610.47 is the funeral.
Every PC gamer since the mid-2000s has opened that ugly little Windows XP-looking window to pretend they understood anisotropic filtering. Now it's gone, replaced by the NVIDIA App.
- It outlived Windows 7, Windows 8, three console generations, and most of your friendships.
- It got zero meaningful updates in 20 years and people STILL used it daily.
- The Linux NVIDIA settings panel is officially outliving its Windows counterpart.
- You can still grab it from the Microsoft Store - but it's never getting another patch.
Press F for the legend that never crashed once while you were doing something important.

NVIDIA has officially retired the GeForce Control Panel after 20 years, ending one of the longest-running software tools in PC gaming.
The company is moving users to the newer NVIDIA App, which combines driver updates, game optimization, DLSS and RTX settings, performance tools, overlays, and display settings into one application.
The old Control Panel will still work for now but is now considered a legacy app and will no longer receive major updates for GeForce users.
For many gamers it has been a familiar part of the Windows experience since the early 2000s.
